CANOPYSTYLE POLICY
This policy establishes the commitments of UAB “DP acetate” to ensure that the cellulosic raw materials used in our production (including acetate yarns) are sustainable, ethical, and do not cause negative impacts on the world’s forests, biodiversity, or local communities.
We implement the principles of the CanopyStyle Initiative and comply with the requirements of the Preferred by Nature CanopyStyle Verification Framework.
Our goal is to ensure that no part of our supply chain contributes to the destruction of Ancient and Endangered Forests, the loss of biodiversity, or violations of human rights.
OUR COMMINTMENTS
Responsible Sourcing
We do not use cellulose or wood originating from:
• Ancient and Endangered Forests;
• High Conservation Value (HCV) or High Carbon Stock (HCS) areas;
• Tropical peatlands or wetlands;
• Illegally logged or human rights–violating regions;
• Forests converted to plantations after 1994.
We prohibit sourcing from any origin linked to deforestation, forest conversion, or genetically modified (GMO) trees.
Transparency and Traceability
We ensure full traceability throughout the entire supply chain—from raw material to finished product.
Human Rights and Communities
We follow the FPIC (Free, Prior and Informed Consent) principle.
Suppliers must respect the rights of local and Indigenous communities and ensure lawful and ethical operations.
UAB “DP acetate” and its suppliers comply with the core conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO), ensuring the prohibition of forced and child labor, the maintenance of safe working conditions, equal opportunities, and non-discrimination.
We promote transparent grievance and conflict resolution mechanisms.
Risk Management
An annual raw material source risk assessment is conducted according to CanopyStyle criteria.
If risks are identified, a mitigation plan is implemented, or the supplier is removed from the supply chain.
Innovation and Sustainable Solutions
We implement green energy solutions, including solar power plants, and operate under a closed-loop production model, reducing emissions and waste.
Audit and Progress Monitoring
We participate annually in the CanopyStyle verification process.
Implementation
This policy is implemented through the company’s procurement, supply, and sustainability processes.
All employees and suppliers are informed of and expected to comply with the principles of this policy.
