DP ACETATE CELLULOSE FILAMENT YARN PRODUCTION PROCESS

From tree to yarn DP ACETATE production process is designed to ensure the lowest environmental impact. With an extremely low water footprint we uses only sustainably sourced wood and safe solvents which are recycled and reused.

SUSTAINABLY FOREST

The process starts with wood forest sourced exclusively from sustainably managed and certified forests and plantations from whole world.

WOOD PULP

Sustainably sourced wood is turned into wood pulp.

CELLULOSE ACETATE GRANULES

Wood pulp is combined with acetic acid to make cellulose acetate granules.

SAVE SOLVENT

The granules are dissolved in acetone to make a cellulose acetate dope solution.

CLOSED PRODUCTION PROCESS

Solvents and waste of cellulose filament yarns used in the process are recycled back into the system for reuse with no release into the environment. Used water is cleaned and returned to the source with routine testing.

DRY SPINNING

The dope is finally spun through tiny holes in a spinneret and air-dried to form cellulose acetate filament yarn. Dry spinning DP ACETATE cellulose filament yarn does not required any water.

SHIPPING READY BOBBINS

THE DP ACETATE cellulose filament yarn is spinned onto large from 3 kg to 6 kg bobbins  – ready for shipping to fabric mills.

LOW-IMPACT ENVIROMENT

The result is low-impact, sustainable DP ACETATE cellulose filament yarn which can be used in knits and woven fabrics and easily mixed with other fibers. DP ACETATE cellulose filament yarn is OEKO-TEX 100 Product Class certified.
